Reason To Investigate Training Needs: Concerns around national active shootings in church environments have increased a need for awareness of behaviors that may be indicative of possible criminal activity. This training was developed to meet the needs of a local church.
Analysis of Needs: Completed using action mapping with the following areas identified as benefiting from training:
Increase knowledge of indicators of criminal activity
Use of greetings to gather additional knowledge and proof of assumptions.
Navigate possible red flags observed with mental questions to determine level of risk.
Use plans of action and increase knowledge of types of questions asked by 911 when making a report.

The Audience: Adults including church staff, elders, and welcome teams with an assumed minimum educational background of a high school diploma, unknown if any special learning needs are present
Objectives of Course: Confidence in survey results will increase by 50% as staff and welcome team complete the training and use the OHNO approach and skills in the church setting.
Increase ability to observe and identify possible suspicious activities in their environment,
Initiate an interaction to gain more information,
Analyze their assumptions with observations and known context.
Mentally assess the situation for level of concern.
Employ a plan of action when concerning environmental and behavioral red flags are determined.

Reason Training Developed: This training was developed as a tutorial for subject matter experts and stakeholders who use Storyline Review 360 during the review process of a learning module.

Expandability options for viewing module during review
Commenting, replies and additional information capabilities
Best practice for commenting for the most efficient reviews

With the above resulting in reduced communication follow-up amongst team members after a review.

Facilitator Training:
A Day in the Life of Teletherapy
30 Minute Scenario-Based Storyline360 Course
with Integrated Job Aids

Reason To Investigate Training Needs: Training and development of facilitator skills are often rushed and incomplete due to staff changes and time constaints. This training provides consistent best practice knowledge and skills needed by facilitiators and improves the effectivness of teletherapy sessions. An additional significant benefit would be the reduction of cost of services for the school districts due to the reduction of late cancellations and missed session billings. The training was developed to meet the need observed in my business of employment.
Analysis of Needs: Completed using action mapping with the following areas identified as benefiting from training:
Best practice use of statements and actions when redirecting students during assessment tasks and therapy activities
Importance of on-time sessions and notifications to therapists with development and use of a job aid.
Best practice in the set-up of a virtual learning environment with development and use of a job aid.
Practice and understanding of additional roles a facilitator may participate in.
The Audience: Adults with an assumed minimal educational background of a high school diploma, unknown if any special learning needs are present.
Staff with little to no training in facilitating therapy.
Veteran facilitators will benefit from review and may gain additional knowledge and skills.
Teletherapists will increase their empathy for their coworker’s role and decision making process, along with increased awareness of possible topics of conversation with their facilitators.
Objective of Course: Imbedded facilitator confidence survey responses will increase by 50% after facilitators actively learn skills by assisting students through multiple simulated scenarios.
Demonstrate a facilitator’s role in schedules, including the importance of on-time sessions and notifications of schedule changes (additional job aid provided)
Set up appropriate learning environments for virtual learning (additional job aid provided)
Use various support skills (cueing, reinforcement, etc.)
Demonstrate support differences between formal evaluations vs therapy settings.

Aids were intentionally developed in black and white with conscious use of ink to reduce costs of printing for the school districts.

The Audience: Adults with an assumed minimal educational background of a high school diploma, unknown if any special learning needs are present.
Objective of Course: Learners will demonstrate the ability to recognize and match Google operators to the needed search result with 100% accuracy.
